A greener future begins with a single sapling — and this season the community planted five thousand of them. Green Canopy focused on restoring degraded hillsides and greening school grounds with hardy native species.
Each planting was paired with a care commitment: local students adopted trees, watering and protecting them through the crucial first year. This simple accountability model has pushed sapling survival rates well above the regional average.
Beyond the trees themselves, the drive became a joyful day of learning, with workshops on composting, water harvesting, and why biodiversity matters for everyone.
