Golden Years: Companionship for Village Elders

As younger generations move to cities for work, many elders are left to age alone. Golden Years pairs local youth volunteers with isolated senior citizens for regular companionship and practical help.
Volunteers assist with groceries, medicine reminders, and small chores, but the heart of the program is simple presence — shared tea, stories, and the reassurance that someone is looking out for them.
The bond runs both ways: our young volunteers describe the elders as mentors, and many friendships have long outlasted the scheduled visits.
